What to wear????

I get asked all the time, "What should we wear?"

So here is a Post that will help you decide what to wear!

COLOR
Color is very important while having family & engagement photos. Avoid wearing Bright colors, have family members wear clothing that features neutral tones, such as blues and browns. Black, white, and bright red are generally not recommended unless i am cordinating a backdrop to complement them. Also, be careful not to mix light and dark tones together. Doing so creates visual confusion, as one subject appears to pop out of the photo while the other do not.

KEEP IT SIMPLE
Clothing should be free of distractions or busy patterns, such as:
  • Stripes
  • Polka dots
  • Plaids
  • Checks
  • Paisley
If you're still uncertain about what to wear for family portraits, consider these additional tips:
  • Denim: If you're shooting an informal family portrait, then denim pants work well. Its classic style won't distract from the overall look of the photo.
  • Sleeves: recommend you wear long sleeves, or at least three-quarter length sleeves . Excessive bare skin tends to distract the viewer from looking at your face.
  • Necklines: V-necks, square-necks and turtlenecks work well in group shots. Avoid shirts with floppy necklines or bulky cowl neck sweaters that overpower the face.
  • Layers: If you are going to wear a jacket during the photo shoot make sure its not to bulky as bulky clothing adds weight.
  • Shoes:  make certain your shoes follow the same color scheme as the rest of your outfit. Also girls try to bring a casual shoe and a heel!
